Bright light in the night sky

"A shooting star that doesn't fizzle out, but lands gracefully. A ball of white light in descent."

These are the words you can find in an article published by the Daily Collegian on Thursday, October 15, 1992. [link below] Written by Laura E. Wexler, and titled "Out of This World", resident Beth Combs shares her experience at a UFO Discussion Group, in which she formed, after her encounter on route 26 in 1990.

In the article she states, "the experience boggled my mind. I was not asleep. I was not dreaming. I was operating a car. And after you see something like I saw, you can't go back to not believing."

Located in southern Centre County, Pine Grove Mills is situated within the Nittany Valley at the base of Tussey Mountain. A town built for milling in the late 1700s at the turn of the 19th century, it's motto states "Proud of our past! Planning our Future!". Route 26 itself runs parallel with the long serpentine body of Raystown Lake, hence earning the name Raystown Road.
