Milesburg Haunted Farmhouse

It is said, on the right of the pike leading to Milesburg, once stood a farmhouse that made the hairs on your body stand on end. Situated almost directly across from the McCoy & Linn Iron Works, this white washed long frame home earned its reputation after the George McQuillan family quickly "decamped" from the residence, declaring it haunted.
It was reported in the Democratic Watchman—September 27, 1895—after local resident James Dubar, who self-proclaimed they did not believe in such a thing, was scared sick after his own personal encounter with the only remaining ghostly tenant. [Link below]
The said spectral is to be that of a large hand which rises up from floors, rose bushes, out of ceilings, cupboards, and has the penchant for smacking people about.
