Car on a road way heading towards fog

Welcome to E.C.I.H.O, or Echo (the I is silent), a local organization whose main goal is to create a resource for people to share and learn about experiences and encounters across Pennsylvania that do not fall into a police report--or conversation with your neighbor--so easily. This isn't a book with faces, or quick chatter that snaps into phantom depths of the internet. This is a catalog. A research center to record, analyze, and document that which steps out from behind misty trees, or floats above bright clouds, or walks across our living rooms in a way that leaves us wondering, "what was that?!"

We want you to know that you are not alone. That, no matter how wild, unbelievable, or strange it may sound, we will listen and respect your experience. It is not for us to judge. There is no bias between what is, and what could be. We are simply here t

o learn.

So please, visit and share this site with others. We encourage you to share your experiences, as well as visit our resources as we post them--including links to newspaper articles throughout history as we discover them.

As Marie Curie, famed pioneer of chemistry and physics once said, "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."
